Dragline Maintenance Co-op Student

Westmoreland Mining Holdings LLC currently has a position available for an 8- to 16-month work term at the Estevan mine starting in September 2024.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer maintenance routines, schedules, and records.
• Track key performance indicators and equipment usage.
• Review outstanding maintenance work orders.
• Enter data in the Maintenance Management System.
• Organize and arrange contract services.
• Coordinate equipment downtime with production requirements.
• Assist with project planning, estimating, scope definition and cost tracking.
• Participate in planning and scheduling meetings.
• Support condition monitoring program.
• Source, order and expedite equipment parts.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering program.
• Have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Have a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrate ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and sudden or frequent changes in priority.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
