Position Summary

Under general supervision, responsible for assisting the department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
  • Advise the mine teams in accounting for royalties and production taxes across jurisdictions and land ownership.
  • Establish records of accounts and input entries into to proper general ledger accounts.
  • Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
  • Assist with various audits including schedule preparation, self-testing, and supporting documentation.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • An Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • No related work experience required.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
